Terms of Service & Booking Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking any trek, pilgrimage yatra, expedition, or customized travel package with Orbiting Himalayas, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to bound by these Terms of Service. High-altitude travel across the Himalayan regions involves unique logistical conditions and inherent physical hazards that require strict cooperation between travelers and our expedition leaders.


2. Booking & Payment Policy

  • Booking Confirmation: A package reservation is officially confirmed only upon receipt of a 30% to 50% non-refundable booking deposit along with copies of government photo IDs.
  • Balance Payment: The remaining balance amount must be cleared at least 15 days prior to the scheduled departure date or before check-in at the base camp station.
  • Accepted Payment Modes: Online UPI/Bank Transfer (NEFT/RTGS), Major Credit/Debit cards, and authorized payment gateways. All rates quoted are in Indian Rupees (INR).

3. Cancellation & Refund Guidelines

If you must cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, written notification via email (`info@orbitinghimalayas.com`) is required. Refunds are processed based on the notice period before departure:

4. Weather, Roadblocks & Force Majeure

The Himalayan mountain terrain is subject to rapid weather shifts, heavy snowfall, landslides, cloudbursts, and government roadblocks beyond human control (`Force Majeure`).

If a trek or yatra route is modified or aborted for safety reasons during the journey, our expedition leaders will make every effort to provide alternative itineraries or safe shelters. However, Orbiting Himalayas shall not be held liable for additional expenses incurred (such as extra hotel nights, helicopter delays, or missed flights) resulting from natural disasters or government restrictions.


5. Medical Fitness & Trek Leader Authority

Travelers embarking on high-altitude expeditions (above 10,000 ft) must ensure they are in adequate physical health and free from severe cardiovascular or respiratory disorders. Our certified Expedition Leader reserves the sole authority to turn back any participant showing severe symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) or physical distress, to safeguard their life and the overall safety of the group.


6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

All disputes, claims, or legal matters arising from or related to bookings with Orbiting Himalayas shall be governed strictly by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive legal jurisdiction of the courts in Dehradun / Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand.
